Thanksgiving/Thanksgrieving

Today’s talk is entitled, “Thanksgiving/Thanksgrieving.” I purposely used a slash between the two words for a reason. I asked myself the question; can both concepts be held up to the light in the same place, in the same space and in the same container, is both /and possible?  When I Googled Thanksgrieving, what comes up is Thanksgiving.

Perhaps Thanksgiving/Thanksgrieving are inseparable, perhaps they are inextricably linked; like the people, like the land, like you and I.

This in-person service will take place in the sanctuary at the JCSVV, located at 100 Meadowlark Drive, and will feature live singing by our guest musician Robin Miller.

“Speak your truth.
Listen when others speak theirs too.
When you let go of fear, you will learn to love others
And you will let them love you.
Do not be afraid of dying,
But do not be afraid to Live.
Ask yourself what that means.
Open your Heart to Love, for that is why you’re here.
And know that you are, and always have been One with Me and All who Live.”

This also applies to making announcements and expressing Joys and Concerns from our community microphone. You may read their complete report here, Thank you to everyone for being aware of the ongoing risks and for doing everything possible to protect yourself and others.

Previously-recorded services from September 2020 through April 2022, as well as more recent services from Fall 2022, continue to be available for viewing on our YouTube channel and may be easily accessed from the posting for that week’s service.
