The selection for January/February is The Greatest Sentence Ever Written by Walter Isaacson.
This book focuses on the line from the Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". Published in November 2025, the book explores the origins of this sentence, its foundational role in American identity, and its relevance to contemporary political divisions, arguing that reflecting on these principles can help unite the nation.
Who: The 4 sessions are being facilitated by Rev Anthony.
When: Mondays, 10:30 -12:00, on Jan. 5 & 19 and Feb. 2 & 16.

Manzanita Outreach is a non-profit organization that provides healthy food to underserved communities and households in the Verde Valley and Yavapai County through their centralized warehouse in Cottonwood.
Each year, SUUF Outreach Team provides 10 volunteers to help repackage foods into smaller containers for distribution throughout the area. This is your opportunity to help your neighbors!

We build community by getting to know other SUUFers while enjoying good food and conversation. And they are fun!
Anyone can attend a Friendly Feast - it is understood that not everyone can commit to hosting so you need not host to attend. That said, hosts are needed and appreciated!
Hosting means providing a space for the feast and a main dish. Guests bring a side dish, salad, or dessert. The feast can be breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. The number of guests is determined by you; usually between 4 – 6.
Each month’s feasts are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month - 3 hosts per month is ideal.
It's easy to sign up as a host or a guest in the lobby on Sundays. Guest signup sheets usually appear at the beginning of each month for that month’s Feasts.
