Join us for Sunday services at our new home - the Sedona United Methodist Church, located on the southeast corner of the Back o' Beyond roundabout. Currently they are being held in the New Room, located to the south of the main building.

Generally, our Social Hour is held across the patio in the main building. Stay after service for a cup of coffee or tea, to catch up with others in our SUUF Community, or sign up for any of our scheduled activities.
You may park in either the upper or lower parking lot, from where there is a walking ramp to access either building. There is also elevator in the main building to get to either parking level.

Something Between Us: The Everyday Walls of American Life, and How to Take Them Down is a 2025 book by anthropologist Anand Pandian that explores the social and political divides in the U.S. through immersive ethnography, arguing that literal and figurative "walls" (like gated communities, vehicles, and hardened views) create division, and that strategies of mutual aid and solidarity can help overcome them to foster a "Life in Common". Pandian interviews diverse Americans, from truck drivers to activists, to understand how fear and exclusion shape daily interactions and to find ways to build connection and care for those beyond our immediate circles.

The selection for January/February is The Greatest Sentence Ever Written by Walter Isaacson.
This book focuses on the line from the Declaration of Independence: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness". Published in November 2025, the book explores the origins of this sentence, its foundational role in American identity, and its relevance to contemporary political divisions, arguing that reflecting on these principles can help unite the nation.
Who: The 4 sessions are being facilitated by Rev Anthony.
When: Mondays, 10:30 -12:00, on Jan. 5 & 19 and Feb. 2 & 16.

We build community by getting to know other SUUFers while enjoying good food and conversation. And they are fun!
Anyone can attend a Friendly Feast - it is understood that not everyone can commit to hosting so you need not host to attend. That said, hosts are needed and appreciated!
Hosting means providing a space for the feast and a main dish. Guests bring a side dish, salad, or dessert. The feast can be breakfast, brunch, lunch, or dinner. The number of guests is determined by you; usually between 4 – 6.
Each month’s feasts are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month - 3 hosts per month is ideal.
It's easy to sign up as a host or a guest in the lobby on Sundays. Guest signup sheets usually appear at the beginning of each month for that month’s Feasts.

Professor Mia Bay (University of Cambridge) explores the history of African Americans between 1865 and the 1930s by taking a close look at the life of anti-lynching crusader Ida B. Wells.

Wells was an American investigative journalist, sociologist, educator, and early leader in the civil rights movement.
