This service honors Indigenous Peoples’ Day by centering the stories, wisdom, and resilience of Native peoples, past and present. We will reflect on the truth of our shared history, the ongoing struggles for justice, and the gifts that Indigenous traditions bring to our spiritual journey. Together, we will ask: How can we as Unitarian Universalists deepen our respect, repair, and relationship with the First Peoples of this land? Through story, reflection, and ritual, we will commit ourselves to listening deeply, honoring sacred connections to Earth, and walking in solidarity with Indigenous communities in our time.
Today’s Reading: Words by Chief Seattle, Duwamish, “the people of the inside”
“Humankind has not woven the web of life.
We are but one thread within it.
Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves.
All things are bound together. All things connect.”
