At this Sunday’s worship service, we shall reflect upon our understanding of what the word community means to us. Is a community defined and limited by geographic location and proximity ? Is my community the community of people that I select regardless of their location? What does it mean to belong to a community? Does it matter really?
Our reader Brad Kincaid will share these words by Mary Oliver (from Soul Matters):
“Let me keep my distance, always, from those
who think they have the answers.
Let me keep company always with those who say.
‘Look!’ and laugh in astonishment,
and bow their head.”
