Inspired by Marvin Gaye’s timeless song “What’s Going On”, this service invites us to reflect on the pressing issues of our time through the lens of compassion, justice, and love. Gaye’s soulful call for understanding and peace resonates deeply with the Unitarian Universalist commitment to social justice and the dignity of all people.
In this service, we will explore the challenges of injustice, division, and conflict in our world, asking ourselves how we can respond with empathy and action. Through music, readings, and shared reflection, we will seek to understand the deeper currents of pain and hope in our society, and how we can live out our values in the face of adversity. Join us as we ask the profound question, “What’s going on?” and explore how we, as a community, can be part of the healing and transformation our world so desperately needs.
