The Body of Freedom

This week our Fellowship has a wonderful opportunity to “buddy” with another UU congregation, the Universalist Unitarian Church of Peoria (Illinois) for their Sunday service. Please note the start time shown below for their live service.

Overview: Deep in the heart of justice is the question of who controls one’s body. On this weekend when we reflect on the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and prepare for Inauguration, we hear from the voices of Ta-Nehisi Coates and others who name the body as the central measure of human rights.

This service will be presented through a live stream link at 9:30 am Arizona time (10:30 am Central Time) and may be accessed in several ways:

The recorded version may be viewed afterwards by accessing their website  https://peoriauuchurch.org and clicking on “Past Services/Sermons” (under the Calendar tab).

Their coffee hour will follow 5 minutes after the service ends, and the link will be included in our Sunday Morning Announcement. We will conduct our own virtual coffee hour at 11 am, our usual time, at the regular Zoom link listed in our monthly newsletter and Sunday Morning Announcement.
