Pluralism & Universalism in America and in Our Lives
Pluralism and Universalism are aligned in that both philosophies ask that diverse peoples, cultures, and worldviews within a community be fundamentally respected and protected. Recently, however, populist partisanship has deeply strained American diversity. UUs should understand this threat and what we can do to cultivate pluralism and universalism in our Fellowship and in our personal lives.
SUUF Member and former university professor Paul Friedman will be our speaker this Sunday.
In addition to his many other interests and activities, Paul writes weekly blog entries about Unitarian Universalist ideas for our website. They have been published as articles in the Sedona Red Rock News for people who want to know more about UU / Unitarian Universalism. If you haven’t already discovered his insightful messages, you can check them out here.
