Sharing the Plate has long been a practice of SUUF.  The “plate” is often given to a guest speaker for the organization s/he represents, or to a relief fund for a needy population in the news, and can go to other causes as the board decides.

The following are the parameters decided upon by The Board of Trustees that dictate the policies around Sharing the Sunday Services Collection Plate.

• A Share the Plate collection is considered all Sunday Service monies beyond those designated as pledges of members and friends.
• The Board of Trustees must approve the recipient(s) receiving the monies from the collection.
