At the base of the Statue of Liberty, broken chains lie unnoticed by most\u2014a quiet but powerful symbol of liberation from oppression. This Sunday, we turn our attention to the \u201chidden chains\u201d in our lives and in our society: systems of injustice, internalized beliefs, and inherited burdens that still bind us. As Unitarian Universalists, we are called to awaken to these unseen forces and work toward liberation\u2014not only for ourselves, but for all. What chains are we ready to break?
