This Sunday Service will introduce us to a new word and another way to see ourselves and our world. \u00a0\u201cYielbongura\u201d is a West African word from the Dagara people of Burkina Faso. It means being aware of the existence of that which is more than literal knowledge. It reminds us that our learned understanding of the world is only that, that there is more. Yielbongura means cultivating an awareness and maintaining an ability to not only understand but to \u201coverstand.\u201d We will explore this term and its use and application in our daily lives.<\/p>\n
