This sermon will focus upon the true story of William and Ellen Craft, enslaved African-Americans who traveled a thousand miles to freedom, and their relationship with Unitarian Universalist Minister Theodore Parker. William and Ellen\u2019s adventurous escape emanated from their natural desire to experience the love of each other, and future generations, as free human beings. Clutching their dream of having children born as free persons, born of free \u201cBone and Sinew,\u201d their saga is one of the most unique in American history.<\/p>\n
