\nImportant words for sure, but not in this place and not in this moment.
\nIn this place and in this moment, let us hold the child\u2019s eye.
\nLet it be crystal clear that there will be no love dying here.
\nLet us move inside the child\u2019s eye for just a moment.
\nAll those important words be damned, there will be no love dying here.
\nYou can name the places, the towns, the provinces, the countries, the borders.
\nWhere beloved people are dying, where parched hearts prevail.
\nBut not now, not in this place and not in this moment.
\nLet\u2019s be crystal clear, there will be no love dying here.
\nHere is also beyond this place, it is inside of me, next to my adult prying eyes,
\nInside my adult thinking skull, alongside my adult, adroit trigger finger,
\nEncased within my adult strategic anatomy.
\nLet our adult self, bow to the moment and to the place of the child\u2019s eye,
\nConfused, pleading, puzzled and watery, so beyond dry.
\nAsking in all languages known and unknown, one question\u2026Why?
\nLet us wrap ourselves in this forever why.
\nFor just a moment, before the important words return.
\nTo take over and force us to take cover.
\nFor just a moment, in this place, please my dear,
\nIn this place, let us shout out together.
\nThere will be no love dying here.<\/p>\n
