Water Communion: Water Is Life

Welcome to our first Worship Service of the Fall of 2022. All are invited to bring a sample of water from their travels during our summer recess or water that has other personal significance. We will ritually pour our water into a common bowl to signify coming together again.

Our theme is “Water is Life,” as we recognize these unprecedented times of tumult in which we find ourselves. Together we shall honor our commitment to building the Beloved Community, to our Unitarian Universalist principles and to ourselves.

“There are seasons, in human affairs, of inward and outward revolution, when new depths seem to be broken up in the soul, when new wants are unfolded in multitudes, and a new and undefined good is thirsted for. There are periods when to dare, is the highest wisdom.”

This in-person service was held in the sanctuary at the JCSVV. It was recorded and is available for viewing on our YouTube channel. While we discontinued providing recordings of our services last May, we are pursuing alternatives to share our September services online. We encourage you to view them and to provide your comments.
